PAYMENTS: To reserve your event date, a non-refundable retainer fee ranging from £50.00 to £100.00 is required, depending on the selected wedding, party or corporate event package. This amount will be deducted from your final invoice. Payment options include all major credit cards through PayPal or direct bank transfer. The remaining balance is payable Fourteen (14) days prior to your event date, which will be provided via our application upon booking our services. As an alternative, full payment can be made at the time of booking to DJ VALENTINE SERVICES.

 

1. This Agreement will become effective for DJ VALENTINE SERVICES only after the deposit retainer is received no later than FOURTEEN (14) days following the email booking confirmation or via the app. Until the deposit retainer is secured, DJ VALENTINE SERVICES reserves the right not to reserve the event date for the Client.

 

2. Once the retainer deposit is received, DJ VALENTINE SERVICES will secure the event date exclusively for the client and will not schedule any other events during this period. Consequently, unless stated otherwise in this document, DJ VALENTINE SERVICES is entitled to keep the Client’s Retainer as a fair estimate of damages incurred if the Agreement is not fulfilled for reasons including, but not limited to: A. The client terminates this Agreement; B. The client does not fulfil all prerequisites for DJ VALENTINE SERVICES to meet its obligations as outlined in this Agreement; C. DJ VALENTINE SERVICES is prevented from fulfilling its duties due to factors beyond its control, such as fire, accidents, acts of God, local or federal laws, covid-19 regulations, or insufficient crowd management or environmental protection.  A cancellation fee applies if the event is cancelled due to the aforementioned reasons in C, regardless of whether the retainer fee is paid. The cancellation fee amounts to half of the total agreed payment.

 

3. If the client decides to cancel the event and subsequently requests DJ VALENTINE SERVICES to provide services on an alternative date (“Rescheduled Date”), both parties will negotiate a new Agreement specific to the Rescheduled Date. DJ VALENTINE SERVICES has the discretion to transfer the initial retainer paid by the client to the Rescheduled Date. The client acknowledges their obligation to pay any outstanding retainer balance at that time.

 

4. Should the designated DJ become unavailable to fulfil their duties at this event due to health issues, accidents, equipment malfunction, or other unforeseen circumstances, DJ VALENTINE SERVICES will endeavour to secure an alternative DJ or equipment to ensure the event proceeds as planned. In the instance where DJ VALENTINE SERVICES is unable to procure a suitable substitute DJ or equipment, resulting in a non-performance, the client will receive a refund of their deposit within SEVEN (7) days following the date of the event. It is mutually understood and agreed that the return of the deposit will constitute the client’s only remedy, whether legal or equitable, for DJ VALENTIN SERVICES’s non-fulfilment of this agreement.

 

5. DJ VALENTINE SERVICES explicitly disclaims any warranties or guarantees regarding its services, and no such warranties or guarantees should be assumed by the client or inferred by legal standards.

 

6. The client acknowledges and accepts full liability for any harm or losses incurred by DJ VALENTINE SERVICES, including damage to equipment or harm to personnel, that may occur during the event. This encompasses all damages arising from inadequate crowd management, any reckless or intentional actions by the attendees, or any environmental conditions.

 

7. DJ VALENTINE SERVICES retains the exclusive authority to appoint the D.J. who will fulfill the obligations of this contract, including all aspects of service delivery, such as production, presentation, and performance. The specific DJ mentioned in this contract is not assured to be the performer.

 

8. DJ VALENTINE SERVICES maintains the prerogative to transfer this contract to another party.

 

9. DJ VALENTINE SERVICES retains the right to use any photographs, audio, or other media captured during the event for its marketing purposes, with the consent of the client.

 

10. Service Provision by DJ VALENTINE SERVICES: The company ensures that all provided equipment has undergone electrical Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and is covered by Public Liability Insurance (PLI). Documentation certifying this can be made available to your event planner or coordinator prior to the event date.

 

11. To ensure we can fully accommodate your music and image preferences, please finalize all details at least one month before your event. This includes displaying your images (if this service is part of your package) and submitting your music requests. The app will lock you out one month before your event, so make sure your timeline and music requests are finalized by then. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

 

12. Additional charges may be incurred for accessing the venue if it includes staircases, as we may need to hire assistance to facilitate entry.”

 

13. This document constitutes the full agreement between the parties and encompasses all terms and conditions.
